Letter from Caleb Stetson, South Scituate, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, [1850] July 25
Description:
Caleb Stetson writes to Samuel May in response to his invitation to attend the celebrations for the anniversary of the end of slavery in the British West Indies, on August 1 in Worcester. Stetson says, "I hope to be there but I am not yet certain that I can. I am afraid of being kept at home by a mournful duty."
