Lydia Dean writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to her gratitude for the Boston female anti-slavery society aiding her society in Salem as they have not been able to do much this past year on account of sickness is some of our families. Mrs. Ordway visited all of the towns in Essex County as the agent for the Salem female anti-slavery society. Their articles will be sent by friends in Boston to the Salem fair and shall be appropriated to the Massachusetts anti-slavery society. She describes the plan for the fair.
