Letter from Josiah Henshaw, West Brookfield, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1851 May 3
Description:
Josiah Henshaw writes to Samuel May repeating information about an upcoming meeting to be held in West Brookfield that he sent May the previous week. Hen explains that since he did not see "the notice of the meeting in the Liberator of this week I thought it possible that you might not have recieved my letters ..." Henshaw tells May that he is "anxious to have the meeting held at the time proposed in this place" fearing that he could not reserve the church again for another meeting. He suggests that since the Liberator "does not circulate among those whom it is desirable should attend," they should publish the notice in other newspapers, including "the daily Spy or Commonwealth in this and the neighboring towns."
