Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Concord, [New Hampshire], to Samuel May, 1851 May 31
Description:
Parker Pillsbury writes to Samuel May telling him that he "left a notice for the Weare meeting with J.W. Yerrington" and that he would prefer to attend the Nashua meeting alone. He adds that Foss does not need him at the Newmarket meeting and "unless they turn out better than a year ago, we shall have a small mark for such heavy ordnance." Pillsbury asks May to add more meetings in New Hampshire towns and "to call it a convention, in large letters." He also says he has been "corresponding with Mr. Garrison about a convention here in Concord," hoping to schedule it for June 16 and 17.
