Letter from Stephen Symonds Foster, Worcester, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1851 Oct[ober] 3
Description:
Stephen S. Foster writes to Samuel May saying that his health is improving and he "shall be out again in a few days." Foster tells May that "the water treatment under Dr. Rogers has proved very effective in breaking up my fever," but he warns that there is a "risk in depending on me, as there is some uncertainty as to how fast I shall recover." Foster states, "My mind has suffered more than my body from this sickness."
