Description:
James C. Jackson writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to receiving letters from friends in western New York asking him to hold a series of meetings there. He says "I am told that I can do immense good." He asks her to obtain Nathaniel H. Whiting to come and "aid us by his pen for a few weeks" to work on the "National Anti-Slavery Standard." He writes that they have about 600 subscribers. He writes, "Our journey is like Bonaparte on the Alps--but the world hsall see us safely descending on the other side yes, colors flying in the breeze & the enemy beaten."
