Description:
Daniel Foster writes to Samuel May proposing to lecture in Lowell and Fitchburg when he is finished working in Lawrence. He tells May that he would like to "spend some weeks steadily working in that part of old Worcester."

On verso, the letter is addressed to "Rev. Samuel May Jr. Leicester Mass." and it is postmarked with a black circular stamp reading, "Manchester Ms. Sep 21." It also includes a red three-cents stamp featuring a portrait of George Washington.
