Letter from Martha J. Henshaw, West Brookfield, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, [18]53 Jan[uary] 26th
Description:
In this letter to Samuel May, Martha J. Henshaw notifies May that the West Brookfield Anti-Slavery Sewing Society has "a fund in their Treasury of sixteen dollars and four cents, [and] are desirous of having the same expended for Anti-Slavery lectures in their own town ..." She copies the resolutions adopted at their last meeting, inviting Daniel Foster and Sallie Holley to lecture in West Brookfield and asking May when "the services of those agents could be obtained."
