Henry Edwards writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to the Reverend William M. Rogers, who is absent in the West, has placed in his hands a letter from her in which she asked for the use of the central Congregational meeting house for a lecture before the Boston female anti-slavery society. He writes, "in behalf of the Standing Comm[ittee] he refuses the request.
