Thomas Wentworth Higginson writes to Theodore Parker in regards to Parker's indictment for a speech made at Fanueil Hall on the Anthony Burns case. His speech incited a riot resulting in the death of one of the Marshal's guards. He writes, "The breach must [widen?] till there is a division & perhaps a civil war."
