Description:
Joshua Emery Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps about Phelps's upcoming sermon in Weymouth scheduled for the next Sabbath. He explains the theological leanings of the church members. He thinks it would be helpful to the church if Phelps preaches on Divine Sovereignty, although several church members requested that the subject be not touched. Phelps will be expected to preach on slavery.
