Letter from Lydia Mott, Albany, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, August 6th 1858
Description:
Lydia Mott writes William Lloyd Garrison stating that she has learned, through Aaron Macy Powell, of Garrison's intention to visit the Catskill Mountains, and proposes that he extend his journey to Albany so as to pay her a visit. Mott informs Garrison that Samuel Joseph May made "some very beautiful remarks in relation to Death" at a gathering of friends and neighbors mourning the passing of a mutual friend's child.
