Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Springfield, to William Lloyd Garrison, March 25, 1879
Description:
Parker Pillsbury offers his apologies to William Lloyd Garrison for having failed to write sooner, owing to the general busyness he experienced while in Florence. Pillsbury informs Garrison that he has paid a visit to their friend Mr. Hammond, and that Mr. Hill is away for health-related reasons. Pillsbury laments the passing of "our noble Burleigh". Pillsbury includes "Mrs. Robinson's letter" to return to Garrison, and states his trust that she "is at peace with herself" concerning the last rites performed at the burial of her deceased husband.
