Oliver Johnson informs William Lloyd Garrison that his article did not arrive that morning, and that subsequently he would be unable to include it in the upcoming Independent. Johnson informs Garrison that the Yearly Meeting went excellently, and provides Garrison with an account of key participants and the reaction obtained by their respective speeches. Johnson particulary notes that Lucy Stone "presented the woman question magnificently, carrying all hearts". Johnson closes in informing Garrison that he will be unable to be in Boston that week.
