Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester [Mass.], to Wendell Phillips Garrison, May 20/[18]67
Description:
Samuel May Jr. writes to Wendell Phillips Garrison that Wendell Phillips contradicted W. P. Garrison’s statement that the speech of his father (William Lloyd Garrison) had been asked for by the National Anti-slavery Standard. May says he has sent W. P. Garrison’s note to Edmund Quincy to show it to the Master of Chancery. May then congratulates W. P. Garrison on the birth of his firstborn.
