In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, George Thompson copies the correspondence between himself and Dr. Philip regarding a letter published in the Boston Recorder written by professor Stowe of Lane Seminary, which quoted Philip criticizing Thompson’s activities in the US. Thompson denies the truth of the statements made against him.
