Description:
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, George Thompson requests that Phelps publish what he recollects of a certain conversation between Thompson and a young theological student from the South, which originated attacks on Thompson in the New York papers. Saying that he wouldn’t be able to attend the upcoming convention, Thompson asks Phelps to apologize to people there on his behalf.
