Edmund Quincy sends letters for William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips, which Maria Weston Chapman is to read and then send on to them. Edmund Quincy "was not in time on Friday to show my article (or rather yours & mine) on [John R.] French to Garrison & so I thought I would write the substance of it to him & urge him to write a private letter to Rogers,---which I think might do good--- ..." He regrets that there will be no "Almanach" [sic, almanac] this year. Edmund Quincy will come to town to attend the Non-Resistance meeting. He declares: "Don't let Garrison make me Cor. Sec. [Corresponding Secretary], for I won't accept it."
