William Lloyd Garrison was glad to hear that William Lloyd Garrison Jr. and family are getting along well in Orange Park. William Lloyd Garrison complains of "a good deal of oppression in the left breast," which he thinks may have a rheumatic origin. He doubts if he will make the journey to the Progressive Friends' meeting in Longwood. He dislikes traveling by water at night even on a steamship. William Lloyd Garrison writes: "Father Chace, of Providence, is dead and buried--a good man, and a veteran in the anti-slavery cause."
