Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester [Mass.], to James Miller M'Kim, May 22, [18]61
Description:
Samuel May Jr. writes to J. Miller McKim regarding the publication projects about John Brown being undertaken in England (by Richard D. Webb) and in the US. He also discusses McKim’s proposal to fuse the American Anti-Slavery Standard and the Liberator. May says Garrison will not agree to it, as he needs his own paper that offers him “full liberty" to discuss matters.
