Letter from Henry S. Hull, Ansonia, Conn, to William Lloyd Garrison, July 5th, 1866
Description:
Hull, Garrison's former publishing partner from Garrison's days editing "The Journal of the Times" (Bennington, Vt.) writes him after a long absence, recounting the present details of his family life, health, living arrangements, and employment. Hull notes, with a seeming lack of bitterness, how the "Bennington affair" (as he refers to his partnership with Garrison) lead to him being financially "crippled", and unable to earn anything but a bare living since.
