In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Epaphras Goodman praises Phelps’s role in the antislavery movements and wishes that his health will allow him even greater work in the future. He then expresses his opinions on the Board of American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, and the controversy between Phelps and Calvin Ellis Stowe. He also discusses how Mr. Bushnell was elected to go to the assembly.
