In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Orson S. Murray expresses his approval of Phelps’s published lectures. He goes further to expresses his own antislavery sentiments. He forwards some names of abolitionists with whom he is acquainted, which, together with Murray’s own, Phelps may use for the cause.
