Letter from George William Perkins, Meriden, to Amos Augustus Phelps, July 11th 1845
Description:
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, George William Perkins says that he intends to get his “report of the doings of the Association” published independently in Hartford since it is too long to be inserted in the Boston Reporter. He says he needs to publish the report because “the Association was grievously wronged by the report in the Observer & [Perkins] was abused.” He then discusses a plan for exchanging pulpits with Phelps.
