Description:
In this letter, Amos A. Phelps’s wife Charlotte informs her husband about of some domestic affairs, as well as some conversations she had with a few people, including Deacon Sanders, who praised the address Phelps had given on the subject of antislavery. She copies a letter from the Boston Female Anti-slavery Society, which expresses regrets to having lost her (Charlotte Phelps) as its officer due to her moving away from Boston and states that the society decided to make her a lifetime members of the New England Anti-Slavery Society as a token of esteem. She asks his advice on the proper way to express her gratitude to the society. She also requests that he and she meet and spend some time together when he has a chance.
