Holograph, signed.
In this letter, Henry Grafton Chapman gives family news and reports on contributions of poetry and money for the Liberty Bell. It is not yet certain where the anti-slavery fair will be held. Ann and Wendell Phillips "have at last fairly got to housekeeping." Henry G. Chapman urges Deborah Weston not "to stay a moment at New Bedford if you feel at all uncomfortable about your chest," and considers the air there very bad. Henry will give Deborah $100 to come back and take charge of little Henry, his son. Henry hopes to get to housekeeping in six or nine months if his health is spared.
