Notes (historical):
After donating land for the town common around 1840, Abram Washburn moved the original two-story structure to town from East Bridgewater center in his attempt to develop the Bridgewater town center. The inn was also run as the Hyland House at one time. The Bridgewater Inn was known for its fine food, lodging and spring-mounted dance area on the second floor. The Inn was torn down in the 1930s.
