In the early 1970s, the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing adopted an academic year schedule. The School discontinued offering housing and became a commuter school. By allying with Springfield Technical Community College, the school offered students the opportunity to take additional courses that could lead to a baccalaureate degree. Enrollment reached an all-time high. This photograph depicts the graduation ceremony in June 1973.
