William Lloyd Garrison reminisces about the events of the past year, especially the forming of the national anti-slavery society [American Anti-Slavery Society]. He expects matrimony to advance his labors. He describes his wedding and his journey home.
On page four of this manuscript, there is a separate note from Helen Eliza (Benson) Garrison to George William Benson. She asks George W. Benson to ascertain what has happened to the table mats purchased by their mother. Helen is "well and perfectly happy."
