Holograph, signed.
In recalling the recent death of Henry Egbert Benson's father, William Lloyd Garrison dwells on Christian hope. A brief tribute to the late George Benson was printed in the Liberator. Dr. Harrington agrees to Henry E. Benson taking the "Thompsonian course" (a medical treatment). Gerrit Smith donated $50 and praised the Liberator. Garrison mourns the death of the persecuted J. R. McDowall. Mary S. Parker is still sick.
