William Lloyd Garrison sends New Year's gifts to George William Benson via the abolitionist, the "Elder Coe" of Salem. He hopes George W. Benson will have remonstrances against John Mercer Patton's resolution forwarded from his county without delay. (Patton's gag resolution forbade the reading of petitions.) The annual meeting of the (Massachusetts Anti-Slavery?) Society is next week. They expect to have a Texas meeting at Faneuil Hall at the same time. Nathaniel Colver must come to the events.
