In this letter, William Lloyd Garrison introduces John A. Collins, General Agent of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, and now appointed by the National Society to visit England. Financial aid is needed from abroad. Garrison was thrilled with satisfacation at reading the account of the meeting in Manchester about British India. Garrison hopes for the manufacture of free cotton in India to overthrow "slavery and the slave-trade throughout the world!"
