Peter Still collected about eleven hundred of the $5000 required to ransom his wife and children from slavery. He wishes that the additional two hundred dollars in Samuel Joseph May's hands be sent to Dr. Joseph Parrish. The Executive Committee agreed to hold a special meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society at Syracuse the 29th and 30th of September and cooperate at the "Jerry rescue" celebration October 1st. The New England Convention discussed the pro-slavery character of the U.S. Constitution and the duty of repudiating all allegiance to it.
