William Lloyd Garrison discusses the distribution of the report of the proceedings of the St. James's Hall reception in London. [The report mentioned is "Proceedings at the Public Breakfast Held in Honour of William Lloyd Garrison, Esq. of Boston, Massachusetts, in St. James's Hall, London, on Saturday, June 29th, 1867," with an introduction by F. W. Chesson, London, 1868.] Garrison heard that Richard Davis Webb and Mary Anne Estlin left Queenstown for the United States on May 7th. Garrison mentions the lateness of spring and says that it rained and snowed today. He believes Richard Davis Webb deserves a generous reception by the abolitionists.
