John B. Cutler regards William Lloyd Garrison as a Moses going forth to plead the cause of the colored race. John B. Cutler writes: "Therefore we will offer up our Humble Petition to Heaven in your behalf, that the Lord would bless & prosper you in your great mission." He sends a dollar and a small cake his wife baked. Cutler gives his regards to his uncle, Rev. Nathaniel Paul.

On page four of this manuscript, there is a postscript signed by John B. Cutler that reads: "My wife sends 25 only she think[s] every Little Helps. For H. C. Cutler."
