Letter from Aaron Macy Powell, Ghent, N.Y, to Samuel May, Nov. 11, 1861
Description:
Powell sends payment for a subscription to the "London Advocate." He regrets that William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips did not visit Ghent. He says that the Albany anti-slavery office has been closed and that Lydia Mott has gone to Michigan and George E. Baker to Washington. Powell discusses his plans for anti-slavery work during the winter.
