Copy of a letter from Samuel May, Leicester, [Mass.], to Daniel Foster, April 22, 1853
Description:
May tries to persuade Foster not to give up the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society agency. He renews the discussion of the William Goodell book, "Slavery and Anti-Slavery." He points out that Foster was not personally familiar with details of the contest between the old and new organizations and claims that Goodell has falsified certain information about the American Anti-Slavery Society.
