Letter from Frederick William Chesson, London, to Samuel May, 28 August 1854
Description:
Chesson sends, by way of William Wells Brown, a few reports of the Manchester Anti-Slavery Conference. He says that the meeting was very successful. Chesson tells May that he does not expect the upcoming meeting of the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society to produce a union of the American and British Anti-Slavery Societies.
