Description:
Steinthal encloses an explanation from his father-in-law for the failure of the box of contributions from Bury, England, to arrive in time for to the Boston Anti-Slavery Fair. Steinthal says that he wrote a long letter to William Lloyd Garrison. Steinthal refers to a comment made by John Bale concerning the increase of the slave population as shown by the census. He says that Bale hints at a possible servile war. Steinthal mentions the lectures of Dr. Solger.
