Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Leeds, [England], to Samuel May, 15 March 1855
Description:
Pillsbury discusses the report of the London Conference, as published by "The Empire," in which he was unable to find any mention of a resolution he had offered at the conference. Pillsbury informs May that he has been trying to get a report of the proceedings. He claims that "The Empire" is trying to suppress certain incidents of the conference and that anti-slavery agencies are needed in England to protect people from insincere abolition movements. Pillsbury discusses his finances and tells May that he thinks he should return to America. He mentions an interview with Mrs. Massie.
