Webb discusses the De La Rue box and praises the opposition of the Wighams to Julia Griffiths. The Hartford Anti-Bible Convention aroused much antagonism in Scotland. Webb thinks that Parker Pillsbury's Quaker friends will "drop him as we say in Ireland, 'like a hot potato'" when they hear about the Anti-Bible Convention.
