Letter from Eliza Wigham, Dublin, to Samuel May, 16.4.58
Description:
Miss Wigham thinks that Maria Weston Chapman should have consulted all of the people who worked for the Anti-Slavery Fair before she decided to discontinue it. She speaks of "direct taxation" as if Mrs. Chapman's plan involved an assessment of all abolitionists and doubts that there would be enough "taxpayers." Miss Wigham reports that Mary Anne Estlin's health is much improved.
