An old barn, the doors of which are open. On the floor of the barn a wagon loaded with hay on which stands a man tossing hay. Made from drawing done at the Whitcomb Farm. This real New England farm [in New Hampshire] was the summer residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Whitcomb and their family, life-long friends of the artist.
