Letter from Amos Augustus Phelps, New York, to Charlotte Phelps, March 6. 1835
Description:
Amos A. Phelps writes to his wife, Charlotte, and describes his recent activities in Norwalk and New York. He relates to her the decision of the Executive Committee of the American Anti-Slavery Society that Thompson and Phelps should make New York as the center of their efforts for the present. He further discusses the circumstances in which he may end up stationing in New York for a while. Although he will have her with him in New York if this comes to reality, he still thinks they will go ahead with their previous arrangements for Farmington.
