Letter from James Miller M'Kim, Philadelphia, [Pa.], to William Lloyd Garrison, May 14th [1864]
Description:
James Miller M'Kim forwards an undisclosed sum of money to William Lloyd Garrison, which he directs Garrison to hand over to George Thompson. M'Kim proclaims his overall satisfaction with the last meeting, and asserts that the "destructives made no headway". M'Kim informs Garrison that he has yet to learn of how the meeting of the Women's Loyal League went. M'Kim comments gingerly on the developing rivalry between Garrison and Wendell Phillips within the American Anti-Slavery Society.
