Letter from Amos Augustus Phelps, Portland [Maine], to Charlotte Phelps, Oct 25, 1834
Description:
Amos A. Phelps writes to his wife, Charlotte, that it is difficult for him to be away from home when he knows she is ill. After discussing the antislavery cause prospering in Maine, he says he will return home by the first of December. He then talks about Emily and Eliza who are getting married, and asks Charlotte to remember him to their friends. He mentions a possibility of traveling to St. Domingo with her in the winter.
