Letter from Alfred Harry Love, Philadelphia, [Pa.], to William Lloyd Garrison, [January] 6. 1862
Description:
Alfred H. Love encloses the sum of $0.50 as payment of the estimated new subscription cost for the Liberator. Responding to Garrison's "hint at discontinuance" of the paper, Love beseeches Garrison to continue its publication, and urges him to continue to pursue his work until its full completion. Love lauds the Liberator and Garrison for their committment to emancipation based upon the "pure peaceful grounds of Christian justice".
