Letter from Sarah H. Pillsbury, Lynn, [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, March 14th 1854
Description:
Sarah H. Pillsbury writes William Lloyd Garrison that she has received a letter from her husband informing her that his "health is very miserable", and that he must defer his voyage to Paris for the time being. Pillsbury states that her husband wrote that he is "living a life of comparative laziness" abroad in Great Britain, but opines that this is beneficial owing to how "very much he was worn out". Pillsbury copies a brief note from her husband to Garrison requesting that Garrison announce in the pages of "The Liberator" that he has been medically advised to rest and refrain from writing "either publicly or privately" for the present.
