Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Rochester, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, 28 Dec[ember] 1859
Description:
Parker Pillsbury informs William Lloyd Garrison that he received a letter from his wife recounting Garrison's visit to Concord, and expresses his regrets that he was unaware of this trip beforehand so that he could have offered his hospitality to Garrison. Pillsbury states that his ill-health the previous week precluded him from reading Garrison's speech on John Brown until yesterday, and asserts his pleasure derived from the speech.
