Letter to William Goodell, Honeoye, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Nov 25/45
Description:
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, William Goodell lists new subscribers for Phelps’s “Letter & Call.” He praises Phelps’s draft of the “Call,” before criticizing one particular point: stating that “[w]e” are not the enemy of the old board. Goodell says that, while they are not an enemy of the individuals in the old board, they in fact oppose any organization that holds the old board’s view. He then discusses the plan for the New York Convention.
